High Energy Lasers These lasers are extremely strong potent beams of energy that can move through large amounts of space in direct strips. They run a potential threat due to the fact that once they hit their target, the accumulated amount of energy would cut through, and destroy their target fairly quickly. (Just imagine the scene
from Star Wars where the Death Star blew up the planet.) They work by directing multiple mirrors to concentrate the beams on one small area of the target. The only factor that's stopping these beams from being realized is the lack of power needed to generate the beams, as well as the fact that in order to get that type of power you would need one gigantic laser pointer.
Autonomous Or in other words, self-controlled robots that supposedly have a will of their own in order to determine enemy from ally. The only problem with this is the probability of these robots getting the two roles mixed up. Right now they are currently under construction, (for instance the photo to the left is a
prototype for a police force named C.R.A.B.) and likewise there is a slow buildup of resistance to these efforts. This is not without reason however, there are several aspects of this vision that are flawed, such as not being able to rapidly discern who's the adversary from the friend as well as malfunctioning and firing randomly at anything the robot's will deems as "dangerous."
Hypersonic Aircraft This aircraft looks like a normal plane, acts somewhat as a normal plane, and also has the ability to fly faster than the speed of sound. This would mean that it would also have the capability to reach any place in the world in less than two hours. In order to do this it would need two engines, one to bring
the plane up to a higher altitude, and one that would act as a rocket engine does in mixing the air and fuel for rapid speeds. If this type of aircraft were achieved, then nations wouldn't be able to suspect the bombing until it was happening. It won't be achieved yet however, since there is still a large list of technical and engineering problems that are prohibiting this equipment from becoming tangible.
Space-Based This type of apparatus would be in part created to intercept any missiles that could be seen while in space, as well as annihilate anything that the people controlling them want to shoot. There would be several armadas of these interceptors circumnavigating the space around Earth using lasers, or physical
mortars, which could be shot at the imposing missiles to stop them. On the other hand, again, these weapons would have access to shoot at anywhere on the planet without much resistance force to halt their reign of terror. Fortunately, there's still a long way to go until the equipment can even come close to being developed, meaning right now there isn't an easy way to transport the energy needed to power these lasers yet.
Nuclear Missiles These weapons rank as most destructive next to the E-Bomb on this list. They operate by the attachment of one or two warheads onto an airborne missile, which then gets launched upright straight into space. They then hover and wait until they've drifted above their target destination in which they drop and create massive
obliteration. One of the main reasons they're so dangerous, other than their destructive power, is for the anonymity of not being able to track down which country launched the missile. Also, there isn't necessarily a set time that the missile has to land, so that missile could hover in space for several years. The biggest reason that this power has not yet been exercised is because of the ultimate consequences the world would have to face.
E-Bomb It's safe to say that the Electromagnetic Bomb (or just the E-Bomb) is one of the most detrimental weapons out of this entire list. The reason this is the case is because after the bomb is dropped and manages to pulsate over some of the surrounding area a few times, all electric equipment is
scorched from the rushes of the currents. This would result in absolute mass chaos since no one would have any electricity, especially for large cities like New York and Los Angeles. The second part of this disaster is that literally the electronics are cooked, so every IPhone, MP3 player, and Bluetooth that people have on them would start to burn their flesh. The only saving grace is that this technology still needs years of research, so there's still a little time left to relax.
